Media - Jane Hoolihan's Presentation at the University of Maryland

The Lecture by Jane Hoolihan created varieties of queries during the process of watching the video with respect to compromised environment where we are living. Are we responsible for this toxic environment ?

It's unfortunate that, we are compromising our life style to this toxic environment in the name of acclimatization. In my perspective, after listening to the complete lecture, all varieties of cancers can be explained on the basis of "cause and effect phenomenon" with respect to today's environment where we are living.

Comparing now with two decades ago, infertility rates are increasing in terms of incidence rate especially between the age group of 20 to 40. This lecture could clearly clarify the questions, I had regarding the high infertility rates.  It is depressing that our future generation will be born with this chemical bonding without their knowledge and unknowingly being part of it.

In spite of working in medicine field, I was totally unaware of the fact that, more than 300 chemicals are being circulated through umbilical cord.

If the present scenario continues for another decade, the statistical value of all cancers will shoot up !

Being in public health domain, I truly want to go in deep to break this chemical bonding in our toxic environmental conditions so that our generation will grow in uncompromised air and water conditions.

  1. I also was astonished by the account of infertility rates that she presented. Even more so that these rates are occurring on average in women that are 25 where I would expect that this statistic would explain why later aged women would be having problems conceiving. The cycle of toxicity is definitely alarming, but daunting to consider how to change.
